Support Available
Support available is a visually dynamic and emotionally driven short film that explores themes of inaccessibility and the importance of friendship and community in the face of hardship. It is a predominantly 2D animated short film with 3D mixed media elements created as a 3rd Year Graduate project by Jessica Wilcock, Jennifer Payne and Leonardo Delazzer who studied on the BA (Hons) Animation Course.
Synopsis:
In the future, the government replaces the healthcare system with a money- saving alternative: a vending machine that requires an item from the patient that's of equal value to their medical needs.
A young transgender boy hears about the machine and goes to seek its assistance. We follow him in his never-ending quest to find an item with a worth equal to his need for gender affirming care.
